Inventory Updated!

We have now added onto our ever growing inventory; Distance Weapons and the magical Wands and Rods of tibia, so if you are interested in the origin of any of the items that you use everyday, head on over to the Inventory in our Encyclopedia and check it out!

We have also added all new items from the recent update (Draken items) and given them origin stories too!

If you notice that we have missed out any items that you would like to see published, tell us about them here!

The Removal of Gamemasters – Poll

Gamemasters, or GM’s for short. Some considered them the backbone of tibian society, others paid no real attention to them. On the 23rd of August, 2010, gamemasters were officially removed from Tibia, so in the lead up to this sad day we decided to hold a poll on what regular tibians thought of this matter.

Poll Statistics

-Tibia is doomed! - 17.53%
-CipSoft made a bad choice - 38.14%
-I won't notice a difference - 21.65%
-CipSoft can do a better job - 6.19%
-HELL YEAH! - 15.46%

In this poll we received a total of 97 votes, with the majority of the pollers choosing ‘Cipsoft made a bad choice’. As you can see from this poll, the vast majority of the tibian pollers are not too happy with the removal of GM’s. Though I’m sure Cip has some tricks up their sleeves!

Stay tuned for our next poll on the automatic detection tool!

Content Fixes and Changes

First of all, we want to offer our sincere apologies for the prolonged downtime today. The client patch took longer than expected due to some technical difficulties. But finally, we are back online now.

Besides the rule enforcement changes we announced last Friday, a couple of content fixes and changes were implemented with today's client patch. For example:

  • The issue with Jean Pierre sometimes giving out too few demonic candy balls has been fixed. We also added an option to receive additional candy balls for characters who made the candy balls before the patch and encountered this bug. Depending on whether those characters made them one or two times they will either receive 4 or 8 additional balls.

  • The achievement points for the achievement "Turncoat" have been increased from 3 to 4 to not put characters who completed the quest before the summer update at a disadvantage.

  • It is now also possible to get the achievement "His True Face" after having already finished the Blood Brothers quest. However, we won't reveal how to get it since it is still a secret achievement.

  • The Sweet Mangonaise Elixir now also works when wearing a Death Ring.

  • The item "coolie hat" has been renamed to "sedge hat".

  • The Helmet of the Deep now works correctly on types of underwater wooden floor when under the effect of Coconut Shrimp Bake.

  • Braindeaths now move through all kinds of magic fields. In addition, a couple of high level monsters now also cross some magic fields that cause damage to which they are highly resistant. Several bosses now move through most fields as originally intended.

Last but not least, we want to inform you about a strange event that happened recently. Some wizards of the coast of a remote kingdom full of dungeons and dragons suddenly appeared on the Tibian shores. For several hours, they were chanting enigmatic mantras resembling the mysterious beholder language and then they left as abruptly as they had come. And now the creatures that were once known as beholders have to roam the lands of Tibia under a different name... bonelords. But don't worry, even though every trace of their former name has been extinguished, they are still the dreadful beasts dear to all of us. So head out, Tibians, for a rendezvous with some evil bonelords.

If you want to talk about the latest changes with other players, you can leave your comments in the thread Player Discussions: Content Fixes.

Enjoy!

TibiaRP is coming to Saphira

TibiaRP wants to branch out! Within the next month the TibiaRP team wants to hold some events on Saphira. There is only one bump on the road left to be solved: support. We are looking for people that want to help us organize events. On one side financial support is needed on the other side just regular old judging and helping set up the entire event.

To spice things up we are planning to level up some characters in Rookgaard so we will be able to supply maces and swords to people joining the event from other worlds.

Support
If you or your guild wants to support our events on Saphira feel free to leave a message in this thread. In the future we could also help your guild come up with and set up fun events and role playing days exclusively for your own members.

First Event
The first event for the entire community of Saphira will be a label throw out. At a set time we want to throw out 250 labels in Free Account Depots. 25 of these will be marked with TibaRP points which can be exchanged for prizes. Additionally we will hide 25 points around the city! We still need financial support for the prizes, and one or two additional label throwers.

Prizes for first event
So far we have enough prizes for one label throw out, yet we would like to host three!

For the first one we collected: a wand of cosmic energy, a ring of healing, a dwarven ring, a time ring, 25 minotaur leather, 4 taurus maces, 3 minotaur trophies, 10 health potions, 2000 bolts, some runes.

If you can supply any items or want to help us throw out empty labels, feel free to contact either me or Seredoodle in game or on TibiaRP.com under the names Tim and Seredoo.

Dates
For now we are looking at:
3rd of September (Set - Thais)
4th of September (Optional - To be determined)
5th of September (Optional - To be determined)
