Hawkdragon Blood Cry (join in)
Roaring complaints....

A series of anguish yells of fury...

Shearing heat of hatred that burned into my soul...

A hatred and loathing I rightfully deserve in vast amounts.

As I stood before the Grand Council of the Six Clan Leaders, I was force to have my back to my pregnant wife who was pleading to both our Clan Leaders for some repeal for my actions.

Actions which costed my of fellow kins' lives and the likely lives of others in the near future...

My crime?

Failure to stop a dangerous man...

Failure to aid in the plot to crush him...

Failure to comply to reason...

Failure for listening to my heart...

Failure in hoping for the impossible...

The impossible?

Thinking my kins brother Myros would listen my reason...

Yea... Failure to stop my own brother from continuing his path of destruction.

I looked at Kalina Azurefang, my wife and pregnant of our child to be...

How much I hated myself for putting her in danger, all because of my hesitation for not doing what I was suppose to do.

I sucked in all the facts, all the guilt, and all the wright of my crimes...

I could only listen and wait...

For the judgment of the Six Clan Leader Council.

"Lazerel Hawkdragon is a traitor!! We can not allow him to walk away from this act of treason he performed, without proper punishment!!!"

The female leader of the Auroradragon Clan Kengo Alunra. Though she had more than enough reason to pit blame on me. My actions cause her to gain a scar that will never heal, and burn a portion of her soul as well.

"But you must consider the reasons of his actions. Even some of us were fooled by Myros's words. Given Lazerel's history with Myros, it is obvious Lazerel would be hesitated in taking such an action!!"

The one fighting for my defense was Kalina's father, Harrack Azurefang. I'm surprise he didn't forbid Kalina from not seeing me in these last few days after the incident.

"Whether it is of his own actions or not, he must obey the orders of his clan! What explanation can you afford to those who died because this whelp's indecision to follow orders?!?"

That was Damnera, the lord of the Crimsonhawk clan. He certainly had it out against me in more ways than one. Besides losing his right arm, he lost his two oldest sons to Myros. Leaving him to bury them amongst many others who died...

The arguing continued back and forth. The other houses wanted me hanged, some wanted me to suffer first through many forms of punishment to nurture their wounded souls, one house wanted me to be spared but still take some of the blame.

However one house was quiet...

The leader of my clan...

Brendan... the new clan leader after our former leader died in the war against the orcs.

He looked at me with his cold eyes, telling me more than what words could ever say to express what he thought of me.

I merely lowered my head in disgust of myself.

He stood up and slammed his sword into the ground, making an echoing noise that silence all of the Clan Leaders, that merely responded in giving him dark looks.

"I can understand were you are all coming from. Though the facts... are simply facts. Lazerel disobey orders that were given to him, since we had too much faith in thinking he would know better...."

He took a dark look at me and continued.

"We should have, we could have, we would have... but we didn't. That lame excuse will not be tolerated by any of our clans. What is done is done... now we need to discuss in how to deal with the situation at hand. The main right now...

Is how to we approach the matter of dealing with Myros?

We can not let him run amok... in his wanton path of destruction."

Brendon looks at me with his eyes... eyes fill with hate and yet pity at the same time.

"Lazerel, you know the weight of your actions... however I must know if given a second chance... would you have repeated it?"

I looked down to the ground to think of how this came to be.

I was in charge to driving a naginata into Myros's body as several of the Auroradragon Clan members and Kengo herself were binding him into a seal were he was losing his demonic undeath powers.

The seals were in effect and he was losing strength, but it wasn't for long... For somehow Myros reversed the effects and was regaining strength to fight back.

I was way within reach to driving the Naginata into Myros's throat... to behead him. However I simply hesitated and he broke loose. Unleashing a swarm of havoc on my fellow warriors in a blink of an eye.

He even struck me down with his dual fire weapons that seem to change shape on his will. Though he merely looked down at me and then fled for the shadows... vanishing into it and lost all trace he was there.

I suffer critical injuries... but I didn't die. I was one of th few very lucky survivors; but that didn't mean I should have lived.

After playing the scenario over and over again... I looked at Brendon and said coldly to him.

"If given the chance... yes I would take the same action as before. Though that would be if I didn't learn from this mistake of mine..."

I could hear many of the houses were readying to kill me here and now... though Brendon slammed his sword again to silence them.

He spoke coldly.

"So what will you do now then? Will you seek a way to redeem yourself? Or take your punishment and die by our creed?"

I bit my lip and merely looked at him. Saying without speaking the words from my mouth...

You know what I want!

Brendon merely smiled coldly and announced to the clan leaders.

"I here by decreed that Lazerel will take up a hunt for Myros. Without the help of his clan or any kinsmen, unless they choose to do so otherwise. However till the day he slays Myros, he will be exiled from my clan and will be branded as a traitor till then.

If he should ever walk upon any of our clan territory before he completes his task... he will be killed without mercy!"

He then points to Kalina and spoke again.

"Also his wife to be... Kalina Azurefang will bare some of Lazerel's punishment. However she will remain on the clan grounds, but she will not be allowed to interact with any of the clans with the exception of her family!!

As for their unborn child. He or she will be also branded as a traitor and will not receive any treatment from the clan except by its mother! It will also not attend any training of any sort from the Clans nor will it be given the right to perform any of the rituals of the Clans!!"

I was horrid and only wanted to kill Brendon for his words and judgment!!

Though with the odds against me... I could not do a thing.

He continued and gave me a sneer.

"All this will be upheld. Though it will all be made a clean slate when you complete your task!! In neutralizing the target and enemy of the clan!! Myros Hawkdragon!! Do you understand this decision?"

The other clan leaders nodded in approval, except Harrack and Kalina... bless their souls.

However with everything against me.... I merely bit my lip and looked at Brendon straight in the eyes.

I gave my answer.

A Year Later

Lazerel was wandering through the wilderness, beaten and bloodied but not defeated.

He had just fought against a horde of undead trolls and orcs that were given life by mere accident.

Then again when it comes down to it... nothing was an accident in concerning with Myros.

The foul knight of death, the traitor of the Clan, and worse of all...

A former friend of Lazerel.

Myros was still going about with his wanton path of destruction, but he was now being more discreet about it.

It was a full year after Lazerel was exiled and banished from his homeland, and forsaken to see his wife and child...

Though it was either this or all of them would have died.

A year ago... when Lazerel resolved to end Myros's madness with his own hands if he must.

"Traveling a year alone isn't going to get me anywhere... lets see here."

Lazerel pulled out an old map and tried to locate were he is.

He was in the woods, but he was well trained in learning his location with the winds and soil.

He made a quick read and knew were he was.

"Just north of Carlin... Far from any of the Clans' territory lands... far from Kalina... I'll need to drop by at the city for clues..."

Lazerel looked around to try and find any trace of Myros.

Sadly due to his fight with the undead creatures and of the soil...

Myros was seven days ahead of him and traveling south west.

Toward the sea...

"Now where could you be heading my brother? Why do you continue on this path? Surely you know what you're doing is against our creed?"

Lazerel gripped his Naginata and added in a dark tone.

"For doing this so willingly, for betraying my belief in you... I will kill you myself brother..."

Lazerel straighten up and headed south with haste.

At the shores of Carlin... in the Ghostlands

Deep underground, a chamber filled with blood and gore and much negative feelings.

A black armored knight is leaning onto the wall, breathing heavily and trying to remain standing.

His face is gaunt and pale of any coloring. His hair was long and pale green that hung over his face and down over his metal shoulder. His eyes gleamed crimson red with blood lust and his mouth bared a series of blacken fangs.

"That man... Grrrrrrrr" The knight mutter to himself and moved further into the darker chambers.

Several specters hover about him, but didn't dare come near him. Though one thing about him that was the first eye catcher was the icon on his chest armor.

A symbol of a Hawk with Dragonic Legs and Tail.

This man was Lazerel's former best friend who was like a brother now turned nemesis... Myros Hawkdragon.

It was about a month ago when he fought a warrior in the wilderness who bared a familiar face of his former kin brother.

"Hehehehe now why would Lazerel attack me? He knows I'm innocent... besides we're bond by the blood pact to aid each other. I doubt he would betray me, nor I would betray him in any way. Someone must be trying to make me think it is him... Arghhh but this pain... I keep feeling it... why?"

At first it seemed he was talking to the specters, but they were backing away from him in fear. So in truth it seemed he was talking only to himself.

"I must feed on more blood of evil... that way I can... I can... ahhhhhh"

Myros slumped over a bit and then suddenly rose with renewed energy and ran down the dark chambers.

Dual swords of fire in each hand, as well as a blood thirsty snarl on his face.

At the gates of Carlin

Lazerel lost track of Myros's trail and ended up at the north gates of Carlin.

He was batter and exhausted of tracking and trekking through the wilderness. He needed some rest and will need it if he should fight Myros soon enough.

As he walked through the gates, he seemed to have caught many of the female guards' fancy and indeed that would be the case.

Despite his batter body, Lazerel did have the scent of the wild and would be consider... exotic to the eyes of city soldiers.

He looked about and found a small pub to rest his weary body. Though his alertness was still up high.

Never trust anyone in cities... they're fill with backstabbing and lies. I'll need to keep my guard up... Was Lazerel thought and he sat at the corner of the pub to merely catch his breath.

He'll get food and water from the wilderness when he regains some of his strength to fend for himself.

Though rest was the last thing he was going to get...

Several thugs notice the icon on Lazerel's leg pants and knew he belonged to the Hawkdragon Clan.

To them the Clans were enemies since they took an iron grip control over the Plains of Havoc and decimated the outlaw camp into wooden planks and ashes.

They ready their daggers and were preparing to fight.

In the water chambers of the Ghostlands

Myros was slashing wildly about at a huge statue of some unknown god of the lost ages.

His blade had not affect, and yet the undead warrior continued attacking like a mad man.

Seeming either he didn't care or didn't realize that several Brain Deaths were coming slowly behind him.

They were the guardians of the chamber.

OOC: I shall join in, but unlike in the other join in Stalpho is not currently in servitude to a God.

BIC: As the thugs closed in on the fighter, Stalpho took a spear that he had been carving as he had nothing to do. The spear wasn't very well made but he knew it would get to its mark. Stalpho takes the spear and throws it as hard as he can and impales one of the thugs.

Stalpho then runs past the startled thugs and stands next to the fighter. "You look tired sir. Do you need any help? If not I shall still help you kill them as they are the scum of the earth and if they can't get a real job they don't deserve to die.

Now the thugs were facing one tired fighter and one fresh fighter, also one of their members were dead.

Xalaroth wanderd Carlin like any oridanry day , it was an bright day , the brids sang lovely out in the bright day, dogs ran around fetching their owe tails.

But something was wrong , He couldent put his finger on it but it was something , something weird.

He proceeded his promenade until he passed a near-by pub that was located some west of carlin. Two men was in a fight but it was hard to understand what they fought about he cought up something like
"Beer...theif..." and more of that drunken talk.

One of the man drew a sword and was just about to struck the other when Xalaroth yelled
"Utev resena roth!"
Roots flew out of no where trapping both the man with the sword and the other man.

"Wh..whoo are you?!" the sword man cryed.
Im Xalaroth he answerd with a smile.
"I'll fetch the guards you'll be bond here meanwhile."

Xalaroth sang a jigg while walkin towards the guards headquaters.

Its two men fightin near the pub , one of them is ready to kill , they are bounded for now but they will be released in about ten min.

He continued walking in to the wilderness..

He saw bloodstains on the ground a bit in to the foresst and as an Druid that cares for all living things he followed the stains untile he found a woman not older then seventeen .
She had an ugly cut from her elbow to her hand and seemed weekend from the bloodloss .

"Who have done this to you"?

"Unn.undeaaads" She answerd with an cold voice.

Undeads? Hear? Xalaroth dident know what to think , he had to alert the the Order.

Exena hur wumder

Her arm healed .

"You will still be weak , its just the flesh that is healed and you lost a large amount of blod you should go home and rest and ill contact you when im back."

He started to run..

Lazerel nodded with approval with Stalpho's aid, though tired and exhausted he wasn't one who couldn't fight when tired.

Jumping out of his table and holding onto his naginata, he spoke calmly to his ally.

"You have my thanks young one, though common thugs like these are mostly a nuisances when they're in larger packs."

Without warning, Lazerel heft his Naginata and pointed it to the nearest thug. He made a dark glare at them.

"Pity I'm more interest in dealing with one other than these scumbags who had too much of a good drink."

Without warning...

Vines came out of nowhere and entangle the two thugs before the fight could continue.

He looked at the one responsible and heard a name.

"Xalaroth..."

Seems the lad was capable with natural magic with some of the mystics, and also would be getting the guards to arrest the thugs.

Lazerel nodded and walked over to the slain thug and yanked the spear out of his corpse, he then walked over to Stalpho and handed him back the spear.

"Thanks for the assistance though I suggest we leave. People around here are not too found of the Clan nor the tribes it holds. By the way, I am Lazerel Hawkdragon. I belong to the Hawkdragon Clan of the Plains of Havoc, may I know the name of the one who helped me?"

Lazerel had a calm smile, but it was obvious he was more focus on something else.

In the Ghostland Tombs

The bodies a several Brain Deaths litter the ground and there was a sickening ripping and tearing of flesh.

Myros was just finishing off the likely leader of the Brain Deaths, though he didn't kill it outright and merely tore off the tendrils and parts of its flesh to immobilize it.

He lifts the remains of the cripple Brain Death, and spoke with a voice that sounded like there were two speaking.

"Where is it? This thing I strike is an illusion!!! Where is its location!?"

The dying Brain Death merely spat at him and didn't say a thing.

Myros growled with fury and drove his hands into the Brain Death's dying being and there was a sinister greenish glow.

"If you won't tell me... I'll rip the knowledge out of you myself."

The Brain Death gagged and squealed as it began to dry up like a dry fruit and before long...

It was merely a husk of skin and rotted meat.

Myros tossed the corpse aside and fell to the ground, panting and trying to catch his strength.

Though he made a sneer...

"It's in Edron..."

Carlin... a city with lots of potential but inhabited by fools, what a pity.

A tall, completely in black dressed figure approached the north gate of Carlin, evoking some suspicious looks. With a smirk he looks at the guards and other travellers. He leans on his staff and asks one of the guards for directions.

"Tell me, where can I find something to eat and drink here? Also, I wish to get rid off some of my more... valuable possessions." His voice is cold as ice but tends to strike people like a flame.

The guard points in a direction and then walks back to her position, looking a few times at the black cloaked figure.

"Always nice that people are helpful," he mutters, a grin coming from under his hood. "Also so polite, they should learn some manners here."

Walking in the direction to which the guard pointed but soon gets distracted by a fight going on. Three men, one of them an experienced fighter by the looks of his weapons and armor are competing against a clan of thugs. His interest awakened, Tengai leans on his staff and watches the fight. One of the man is capable of using magic, the more simple form of it but still...

Interesting, especially for the fact that she is using it without knowing the people around her seemingly.

The fight ends with a easy victory for the three men. The tired fighter, the one who got attacked in the first place, starts a conversation with the young man who is fairly capable of handling a spear. Tengai decides to approach the group.

"Ah sorry to interrupt your... conversation. I watched the fight and wanted to compliment you all with your victory. You showed some... interesting techniques." He glares at the man who used magic.

Then he turns to the tired fighter while slightly adjusting the position of his staff. "I am not a very skilled magician but I can for sure help you to regain some strength."

Tengai concentrates for a moment and then mutters "Nárë mellon". Small flames come from his staff and emit to the tired fighter.

"It will not heal your wounds if you have any... but it will give you some of the spirit back."

Tengai grins under his hood. Seems like Carlin has some interesting surprises for me, let's see how this is going to turn out... a man attacked by thugs in the middle of a city can impossibly be not on a quest.

Lazerel felt his strength return a slight bit, but he was still exhausted.

Then again traveling for a few days in hot pursuit of his quarry without much rest would do that to any harden warrior.

Lazerel gave the man a slight bow of thanks and replied, "Thank you for the refreshing spell. Though in truth I still need about a day's rest, since I'm on a personal bounty hunt; and I'm simply here in this city to look for clues."

Lazerel study the man's attire, but didn't commit about it yet and politely ask.

"You're dress attire reminds me of an assassin or fellow hunter in the shadows, may I ask what is your name? By the way, I am Lazerel Hawkdragon, if you didn't catch it when I was telling this young fellow who bravely aided me."

Lazerel took a deep breath and leaned onto his Naginata to listen to the other two speak.

Outside the chambers in the Ghostlands

Myros merely squatted down and was rummaging through the soils with his black gauntlet hand.

"This land is far from truly being dead... perhaps a little push can be useful... in acquiring a ship to Edron..."

Myros's voice sounded a few tone deeper and he looked more or less sane than before.

Without word, Myros drove his fist deep into the soil and let loose a series of chants as well as a foul aura that sweeped across the land around him.

Suddenly the ground shook and tremble with sudden series of eruptions. Arms, legs, and skull like head came out of the soil; all screaming in unison for life.

Before long, Myros was now surrounded by a mix army of ghouls, skeletons of various creatures slain, and several zombies.

"Good... they'll provide the necessary cover I need... to reach Edron."

Myros got up and looked at his newly formed army of undead and gave out a death promising roar of fury.

The undead warriors follow in suit and then began marching their way toward Carlin.

"Carlin... a city full of evil and hypocrites. They'll pay for their sins."

Myros spoke, but his voice sounding somewhat normal now, and he took a whole different path. Though with him were a few undead warriors who seem to have kept their intelligence.

The guards in Carlin notice the sudden change in atmosphere...

A storm was coming and it was coming from both the sea and from the Ghostlands.

"Hmm well your theory is interesting Lazarel but I do not belong to any clan. I am a solitary hunter since I can remember, I have never been the clan type of person."

Tengai looks at Lazarel from under his hood, observing him for a moment.

"Well, let me introduce myself, especially seeing you asked for it. My name is Tengai and I am merely looking for a little... adventure." His hand moves to his dagger under his robe and when feeling the hilt of his dagger he knows he his safe. With a relaxed movement, he puts both of his hands around his staff and lean on it while turning his head at the other two.

"So... you are all here for a bit of bounty hunting or was this meeting by coinsendence?"

Tengai looks at the other two men with interest, his eyes rest for a moment on the man who is capable of using magic.

Then he turns to Lazarel again. "Seeing that you are on a quest and I like to hear about it, would you mind retreating to a bit more... quiet place and tell me what you are aiming for? You got my curiosity and maybe even my help..."

"Well Lazerel Hawkdragon my name is Stalpho" as he said this Stalpho put out his hand to shake Lazerel's hand.

Yes these Carlin people are distrustworthy of everyone, I have been here only a few days and they have still the utter dislike attitude towards me. Though that could have come from me beating them in a drinking contest" as Stalpho said the last thing he roared with laughter.

As they were talking a person with a cloak came up and gave Lazarel some strength back and then intruduced him as Tengai. Then this Tengai offers Lazareal his help.

"Well I am feeling famished and we should go get something to eat, my treat as I have too much money these days." Stalpho ignores the question about if they were together as he did not know this Lazareal's goals as Stalpho would not do certain things but it is always good to listen to people and then he would make his descion to help or not to help him.

Lazerel took Stalpho's hand and shook with honor and then added, "Well we should find someplace with no unwanted attention. I happen to be a skilled hunter and I rarely do come to the city, but as I said... I was in need of clues."

Lazerel and the group headed out of the pub... only to be greeted by warning calls of trumpets and drums.

Some people were running pass them screaming incoherent words and other babbling. Though one word easily stood out and Lazerel actually sensed the foul presences.

Undead... an army...

Lazerel ready his Naginata and began making his way up against the flow of frighten pheasants and commoners.

"Seems the one I'm after is making his first bold move in about a full year... perhaps this is were we'll end this hunt!"

Lazerel began to sprint to the north gates with anticipation, completely leaving the others behind him.

Myros...

Myros and his small rag tag bag of walking corpses were rounding about the beach and staying in the shadows.

The undead minions merely clatter and shamble about... not saying anything that could be deemed intelligent or conversation worthy.

"The army is a good diversion... but they won't last very long and they likely notify the whole town into arms... must reach the docks and stole away into the next boat that leaves Edron..."

Myros spoke hoarsely to himself as he stagger and continued walking toward his plotted destination.

Tengai nods to Lazarel, agreeing to head to the local pub to talk. Together with Stalpho, the young man with the spear and Lazarel, Tengai is on his way to the tavern when he sees a crown of people running away from the north gate.

Tengai looks at the crowd with amusement. Fools, running from such an interesting happening. He already sensed the present of several undead creatures but the running crowd confirms all of his suspicions.

"Let's have some... fun," he grins from under his hood while grabbing his staff. He heads to the north gate and soon sees the chaos. Several undead creatures are causing havoc, trying to harm the citizens.

With his staff in one hand, he takes his dagger out of the belt, hidden under his robes. Knowing that a lone dagger doesn't do much damage, he attaches the dagger to the bottom of his staff. With a swift movement, he lifts his staff and stabs the first undead that approaches him full in its chest.

"One..." he mumbles with a twinkle of fun in his eyes. He moves on, slicing off several undead creatures. The creatures, soon sensing Tengai's power, start to attack him in groups of two. "Shame on you guys, I know more than just some little tricks with a dagger: Pentë Nárë!" A ball of fire hits the two undead creatures.

He looks at Lazarel who is fighting well, as a true warrior.

The second attack inside a city and he was involved in both attacks... I'm wondering what his goal is.

Swinging his Naginata into a wide arc and swift speed, Lazerel made short work of a small undead squad of trolls and humans.

The use of his Naginata gave him wide range and much devastating power with well timed swings and strikes.

Planting his feet firmly into the earth, Lazerel did a 180 degree swing that sever the undead into dust and this was followed with a two handed downward strike toward a rather large zombie.

The force of the strike shatter the pavement and split the zombie cleanly in half.

To the eyes of those who saw Lazerel fight, it was more of some ritual death dealing dance he was doing. Though this death dance was in fact quite effective; for while striking with potent power, he was constantly moving to avoiding being pinned or cornered by sheer numbers.

Lazerel's eye darted from left to right and all over the crazed battlements...

No sign of Myros...

Lazerel deliver a swift kick to a goblin zombie and tried to feel Myros's presence...

No avail.

Then Lazerel notice there was a second and much larger wave of undead coming, yet all the undead he and the others fought still emitted the same aura...

Myros.

"Myros how many did you bring back to life? What in Twilight are you up to?"

Lazerel shouted as he notice a zombie elf came at him with a sword and had to parry the strike and move back in a few fast paces.

Myros

"The battle had started... my fellow warriors were holding off the evil hypocrites of Carlin... while I must head out to continue the mission."

Myros said to himself and made his way quietly through the docks and found several ships all in eager readiness to depart from the shores of Carlin.

He looked for one that had the most magical supplies... since that one would likely head to Edron's Magic Academy with earnest.

Motion his fellow warriors, they quickly found such a ship. It was big and well fitted for mild storms.

The war band quickly stole away into the ship without anyone noticing them or any troubles.

"May all of the fare well in the battle my friends..."

Myros said as he drew out his dual flame swords and walked up to the decks of this ship, with his war band of followers.

As the second wave of undead came into Carlin Stalpho took the crudely made spear and threw it. The spear impaled 2 zombies shattering there chests, then Stalpho pulled out his hammer and started attacking.

An undead minotuar came at him Stalpho parried the minotaur's sword thrust then slams his foot into its chest and while its still stunned Stalpho knocks its head off with a powerful swing.

Stalpho is fighting with much vigor, he has 2 mummies cornered then he is blind sided by another undead minotaur. The minotaur tries to goar him but Stalpho reacts and pulls out his hidden dagger. The minotaur still gets him with his sword but only leaves a minor scratch. Stalpho grabs the minotaurs head and swings the creature into the 2 mummies killing them but only slightly injuring the minotaur.

The minotaur charges Stalpho, when the head gets within 3 feet of Stalpho he jumps onto the minotaurs back and snaps its neck. Then he falls to his knees as the minor cut is much worse then he had thought.

Stalpho gets up, takes him a few minutes then unsteadily charges back into the fray.
