Re: OoC Thread: Ties of Darkness (former Tavern join in)
Oh my it is story of long!
Ren, Eilfy, Hazour and Shyra all first met at Frodo's tavern, the evil Shyra playing the nice role and helping both Ren and Eilfy out at the beginning. Ren offers to train Eilfy to use a sword at the white flower temple in thais, and Shyra keeps contact with Eilfy via the use of a bird. During the training, Ren discovers that the sword Eilfy owns is a legendary sword from history that was owned by her decendants and is charged with the evil forces of Kirok. In a moment of distraction Ren contracts a wound from the sword leaving him with a non healing and constantly bleeding hole in his arm. Eily uses magic to heal him, but the ritual in which she does to do this leaves her with a mark on her neck and opens a connection between her and Kirok. Bringing forth a prophecy from Ren's mouth. Shyra's bird turns into a young female child and a mistrust for Shyra begins to grow as she finds out about the sword. Ren goes back to his homeland to collect his armor, and his childhood dog returns with him to the white flower temple. The group left the temple, and in their wandering came across both Hazour and Stalpho. Hazour was injured from a fight with Shyra, and Stalpho both of whome become involved in stopping an orc raid north of Thais. Ren demands that Stalpho leaves once he summons forth the power of Ugrith, and Hazour joins their party as they trek to a nearby abandoned watch tower.
Eilfy is visited by an orb of energy via which Shyra contacts Eilfy, all the while turning Stalpho onto her side. Whilst at the tower, Hazour is able to heal himself of a wound by which Shyra is slowly consuming him, and Stalpho gives up his alligiance with Ulgith inorder to follow Shyra.
Shyra contacts the entire group by using the little Hawkdragon girl, and in doing so reveals her true intentions, using the girl like a puppet to try and kill us. Eilfy manages to evict Shyra's power from the girls body by embracing the power of Banor and accepting him into her life. Once this is done however, they are immediatly attacked by Stalpho and one of Shyra's demons, but because of a previous meeting whereby Ren was given a stone by Stalpho to prevent him getting near to us, only the demon poses a threat. The demon is slain by Hazour and Ren, whilst Stalpho is summoned back to thantos by Shyra, where the demon is also returned from the underworld, although turned to a woman as punishment for leaving.
At this point the group splits up, as Hazour sets out to go back to his homelands in the plains of Havok, and Ren does the same by taking Eilfy to the Isle of Kings. Once at his homeland, they are given permission to stay for just a few days, but after an attack by Shyra leaving the monestry on the isle destroyed, and also resulting in the death of Hobbes, the bannishment of Ren appears to lift, as Stalpho plots to get out of Shyra's grasp.
Eilfy continues in her sword training and becomes skilled, whilst Hazour and Priscella go to the plains of havok and become exiled from their clans, as it becomes clear that Priscella was never meant to be rescued. As the two wander their way around Tibia to find a place to rest, Stalpho escapes from Thantos and ends up back on the Isle of Kings, where he is found and locked up for his crimes against the Isle. Ren and Eilfy leave the isle for a few days to visit Eilfy's home in Greenshore, where her brothers make it very clear that they disaproove of Ren and Eilfy's love. After convincing the brothers that it was in everyones best interest that Eilfy return to the Isle with Ren, Ren sets up protection ensuring that the Brothers will be escorted to the Isle should Shyra find out who they are.
Back at the Isle, Eilfy's training continues and their love envelopes as the days go on. Eventually, Ren and Eilfy are asked to travel to Carlin to pick up a scroll from a monk there. Once there, they by chance meet up once again with Hazour and Priscella in the old church, but it becomes apparent that they are being hunted by an undead set on them by Shyra. In order to allow Ren Eilfy and Priscella to escape, Hazour stays to fight the killer, but cannot match his power and is apparently killed.
Priscella is taken back to the Isle with Ren and Eilfy where she is atm, Hazour appears to have survived somehow and is in the company of seemingly friendly people, and Ren and Eilfy have abot two days left before all hell breaks loose.
-sigh-
I always look out the window and wonder why birds stay in the same place, when they can fly anywhere in the world.
Then I ask myself the same question.
